April 1 2010: Items from the April division meeting

  • Since the April 1 meeting lacked a quorum of board members it was not an official meeting. Only 7 flotilla commanders were present while 8 are needed. Thus no votes could be held.
  • Abandoned Vessel Program:The Coast Guard is requesting the help of Coxswains in updating information about vessels abandoned in their AORs. Coxswains are asked to check those abandoned vessels assigned to them in order to update the data listed on the abandoned vessels web site. Please contact Ernest Stevens for access to the site.
  • The Advanced Skills Weekend is scheduled for April 16-18 at Yorktown.
  • The new 7029H form is now required for reporting "99" hours.

    April 10, 2010 - Jones Point Cleanup

    May 6, 2010 - The Division 25 Change of Watch and May meeting will be held at TISCOM (Anchorage Lounge). Ceremonies start at 1830 followed by fellowship until 2030. The Division meeting starts at 2030 and will last until 2100.

  • Mentor Nominations: Flotilla Commanders must nominate mentors annually by forwarding the nomination form directly to DIRAUX. New mentors must attend a mentor workshop. Mentors must attend a mentor workshop every other year.
  • ATON List: The SO-NS is providing each flotilla a list of Aids To Navigation for checking this year. For details contact Bernie.
  • ISAR Team: The SO-FN Berens asks whether any Division 25 members would be interested in forming an ISAR team for this year's competition. Contact your FC, Mr. Berens, or Ernie to indicate interest.
  • VE Day April 10: Vessel Examiners are needed for a VE day at Bolling AFB April 10th from 1000 to 1600. Contact Ginny Ivin if interested.
